With advanced degrees in computer science, education, and economics, Mark’s career began at Boeing, where he led cutting-edge research in intelligent software and training systems. Following his time at Boeing, he served as a professor at the University of New Mexico, where he chaired over two dozen Ph.D. dissertations, mentoring the next generation of scholars. He also founded Vitel, Inc., delivering knowledge management solutions to high-profile clients like the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy.

As a professor, program director, and former dean, Mark has published extensively in AI and knowledge management, earning accolades like a Teacher of the Year nomination. He continues to inspire as a professor of Computer Science and Organizational Change at the University of St. Thomas.
